The In Lieu of Bond for Motor Vehicles 25 Years Old or Older Checklist (DR 2462) is to be completed for motor vehicles that are 25 years old or older and ownership documents are not available or are incorrect.
The applicant must have possession of the motor vehicle and the motor vehicle must be physically located in Colorado. A bill of sale within twenty-four months after such sale must be presented with the title application.
As part of the process, applicants will need to fill out the Bond Statement Guide & In Lieu of Bond Affidavit (DR 2394).
